I'm a loyal Stirling Soap customer and have been for years. I only buy Stirling soap products, and will take them with me when I travel. I've never had any issues with soap products - I've enjoyed all the scents, even so-called "feminine" scents. They're all great.

This one - Strawberry (Batch # 8578) - opened today, November 3, 2024. At first I thought the scent was odd. I had the faintest hint of a strawberry, but the rest smelled like what can only be described as a chemical odor which was balanced out with a strange chocolate odor.

It did not smell pleasant at all.

I did use it to shower, and the experience just became worse. It does not smell pleasant in the least, and I had to grab a different soap and re-shower to get the odor off of me.

I don't know what happened, but this is a horrible scent and didn't even remotely come close to the advertised name, and if this was intentional, the product description doesn't mention such.

Bad batch? Bad bar? Or is this a huge "fail" all the way around for this particular scent?

The scent for me waffles between strawberry and a sweet note very similar to the scent from the Honey Oatmeal soap which itself is a mixture of honey scent and surprisingly a green grape smell. So sometimes this strawberry soap has more of a strawberry and sometimes more of a green grape scent and always with a sweetness in the back ground. Suffice it to say I find it quite a pleasant scent though sometimes it can take on a bit of a hard candied strawberry scent too.
The soap itself is every bit as good as all their other soaps.

From the description, I knew I wasn't getting just a typical artificial candy strawberry scent. I thought it'd be maybe a different take on it with some earthy, darker green notes and less focus on sugar. When I opened the box up however, I was blasted with a sweet strawberry smell buried behind what seems like PVC (vinyl) or some sort of industrial plastic. It was very strange and I didn't really like it. However, I decided to eventually use it and, once lathered, that vinyl-ish smell dials down a bit. It still smells more or less the same but a bit less harsh, and some more of the sweet strawberry comes through more prominently. I wouldn't re-purchase this one, sadly, but I'm at least happy that I'm giving it a full chance.

I have been a customer for years and love all of their soaps. Picked this one up for the wife as she is a fan of strawberries. As always shipping was awesome, delivery was fast, nice hand-written thank you as well. This is honestly the only soap we ever got that we did not like. Lathers up nice, rinses clean, but the scent is horrible. Smells very bad, actually unusable in the house. Took both bars out to the shed so we could wash up out there when working in the yard. Stirling has awesome scents and is a fantastic soap company but this fragrance not so much.

I love just about anything strawberry but this is not it. Not sure what the smell is but it's pretty awful. Ordered it along with a bunch of other soaps that all smell good in their own way but this one went right in the trash.
