This soap leaves my skin soft. I feel it cleans my pores well and doesn't make me break out.

I prefer the clay facial soap, but this one is good, and other people may prefer it. I think the citrus note is pleasant.

I order bars of this and then cut them into 3's. Use as a facewash in shower. Really does a great job ridding skin of impurities.

My favorite face wash ever

I have been using the activated charcoal facial soap for several years now and don't see any reason to use anything else.

I have been using this as part of my morning routine for over a week and really like it. It lathers well and rinses clean. Many of the common face soaps you find at the drugstore have a long list of chemical ingredients and who knows what those do to your body, especially your face! I like this product because of its simple ingredients, how well it cleans and rinses off without residue. The charcoal may seem a bit counterintuitive initially - because you’re basically cleaning your face by making it dirty in a sense, but it’s totally fine. It’s almost like applying a facial mask where the impurities in the skin are drawn out with the absorbent charcoal. Your face will love this stuff!

The charcoal gently exfoliates sensitive facial skin. The ingredient list is simple and nothing is included that is not essential. Would recommend.

Real ingredients like nature intended! Amazing clean, subtle but warm smell, refreshing feeling.

I've been using this face soap for a while. I'm still loving it.

Scent definitely isn't bad, but it's so lavender-heavy that I can barely make out any of the other scents. I like lavender personally, but that was a minor surprise.

I definitely intend to buy this soap again. Dries my skin out a bit too much for daily use (especially in cold weather) but alternating it out with other soaps helps a lot.

I Really Love the smell of this soap! It has a lot of different nice plant smells, despite it having charcoal in it. I not only use this soap for my face, with which it works great, but also for my hair [and I have very very long hair that goes past my butt]. I found that this soap is better for my hair than their shampoo bars [which I use as shave soap instead], and I think it is based on the hardness of my tap water in my shower. This soap didn't leave as much residue in my hair as the shampoo bars did, so I use this now for my hair along with my face, and my hair looks shiny and great all the time! I really love this soap so much!

This soap is my favorite scent along with the Iced Pineapple. It smells wonderful when you lather it up. I never used a facial soap prior to this although I have used my wife's Clearasil once or twice and I didn't like how my face felt after using that. My face feels amazing after washing with this and my complexion has improved. I keep it in a suction cuped try in the shower above and to the side of the shower head and I do not have any issues with the black charcoal mess that some have. Keep it out of the water when not in use and you're golden.

This product makes my face very happy :) much softer on the skin than other brands.

My wife and I were previously using multiple store bought facial washes that were super expensive and had tons of chemicals that I would prefer not to put on my face. I ordered this bar and we started sharing it instead of having two different face wash products in our shower. After two weeks of using this bar I can say that my skin has never felt so smooth and been so clear. My wife is seeing the same great results and is now a believer. We now will share this one bar which meets both of our standards for facial washing. If you have not purchased a Stirling bath soap bar or facial bar before then you should know in advance this is a super large 5.5 oz bar. Your normal soap container (if you use one) will not hold this massive bar. I found a soap container on amazon prime that does hold this bar and also has a drain to keep the bar dry. Sodear-LifE, large plastic soap case holder. This case does not snap closed but if you are only using it at home is the perfect solution to prolonging your Stirling soap / facial bar. After every shower I simply remove the top lid and set the case on my bathroom sink counter to dry until my wife or I take the next shower. Letting your bar dry outside of the shower will prolong your soap bars life and make this already great value last even longer. If you need a great facial bar that can handle a man or a woman’s needs then look no further, fam! This is what you have been looking for.

Loving this facial soap for washing my face before bed and also during my morning shower. I even like it better than the standard facial soap, and way better than the neutrogena pump soap I used to use. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh, and I don’t seem to get much as far as blemishes compared to before. Have already ordered a couple times and will continue as long as they keep making it!

This soap is great, the scent is fantastic and I have noticed my skin is clearing up. I don't think this bar goes any quicker than other Stirling soaps, just keep it on a drying rack in the shower. As an awesome benefit, if you dye your hair at home, this soap does a great job of removing the dye from your ears and hairline.

yes you do need to be aware of the activated charcoal properties ,but that is what makes it so good, also let this black beauty dry between uses and it will last.

I asked for a sample of this soap with a previous order, and they were kind enough to throw one in with a hand-written note from Amanda. This soap makes my face feel very smooth after using it and I like that it has all natural ingredients. I just ordered a bar along with some other products.

I'll also say that I haven't had any issues with staining whatsoever, and the scent is pleasant but mild. Good stuff!

I've tried many different face soaps and for the first time in a long time, my skin actually loves this one!! My acne has drastically decreased and my skin isn't dry. I've spent far more money on expensive products that aren't natural at all. I love that this is inexpensive, works, makes my skin bright and healthy looking and is much more natural.

I got this soap because of the description of the scent profile, and I was not at all disappointed. This has a lovely scent! I doubt we'll reorder it, though, just because of the aesthetics. It's black, and it puts black stuff all over the shower. I know that shouldn't be a big deal, and it really isn't, but it just got to us after a while. Since neither my wife nor I need the activated charcoal for any condition, it's something we are happy to do without.

This bar also goes away more quickly than the typical Stirling bar. The charcoal in it makes for a softer bar. Again, this shouldn't be a big deal if you enjoy some benefit from the charcoal.

I'd love to see this scent profile in a bar without the charcoal. I'd be all over that!

Ok so first of the soap has a nice smell to it and it feels amazing. When I first started to use this product it went great, I felt good after using it and honestly I think it helped my skin a bit. But after about a week of daily use it made my nose constantly stay red and my friends would call me Rudolph. Well after about two weeks it started to make my nose very scaly and also scarred it a little so I stopped using it. My nose is better now but it’s not like it used to be it still looks like I have a lot of blackheads or something like that and it took me about 2-3 weeks of not using it to make it go back to that state. Now I’m not saying don’t buy it because honestly I love this company and maybe that was something that was a personal thing and not for everyone but just be cautious while using this product and make sure you stop using it if your nose starts to get red.

I love the soap and the way it makes my face feel i am just not crazy about the scent. Othewise it would be a 5.

Great soap for cleaning my face off! This soap is straight up a chunk of charcoal with a light scent on it. I like this soap much better then the other facial soap as it doesn’t dry my skin at all. The charcoal rinses very easily and I don’t get stains on my bath tub floor. Very good for acne prone skin or oily skin that you want to clean but not strip your natural oils to the point it feels like rubber. Works well as a pre shave soap as well. It’s a soap that cleans like a boss but not too aggressive.

With this soap I highly recommend you get a soap dish tray to set it in. It will literally stain anything you leave it on! I normally have to clean the shower once a week to get that black look off the area the soap tray is near but it’s no biggie.

Also...as I used the soap, I initially smelled this smoky scent from it probably from the heavy dose of charcoal. When Stirling says a “healing amount of charcoal “ that’s an understatement haha! That’s basically what it is...a chunk of coal that does magic to my face :)

My skin is pretty sensitive, and I live in a desert, so over-dryness is an issue. That is not a problem with this. I feel like this stuff somehow washes away what I don't want on my face and leaves what I do. The scent is hard to describe, but I love it. It has a slight tingly feeling to it, but not overpowering. I also feel like this can take the place of a pre-shave prep, as it leaves facial hair nice and soft.

I bought the bar specifically for use in treating my Keratosis Pilaris and it’s worked amazingly! My KP has pretty much disappeared. I did find that I can’t use it on my face, much to my dismay, but such is life with sensitive skin. Thank you, Mandy and Rod for such stellar products!

I work in a machine shop and by the end of the day my face can be quite oily, this stuff really does the trick and keeps my face looking healthy.
