Customers praised this moisturizing balm for preventing razor burn and irritation, especially for sensitive skin. Many noted "a little goes a long way" and appreciated the truly unscented formula that pairs well with colognes. However, a few found it greasy or detected a mild natural scent from ingredients. Overall, shoppers valued its non-greasy absorption and lasting hydration.

Excellent moisturizer
No scent. Prevents razor burn. Great product!
This makes my skin feel great. It doesn't leave an oily residue. What a great finish to the unscented beeswax soap. Great combo!
I have very sensitive skin and am prone to ingrown hairs and razor burn. I find that doing a post shave of with hazel with 2% Salicylic acid followed by this has done wonders for keeps the burn and ingrowns away. I would highly recommend.
As always outstand service and quality products.
Wonderful balm. A little goes a long way. For me; I do a pea sized dollop on each of my cheeks, plus the same pea sized dollop on either side of my neck, plus directly under my chin. (So five pea sized bits of balm total). No greasy residue, absorbs fairly quickly. And leaves my skin feeling supple and nourished.
The first unscented post shave balm from Stirling I tried, it has a mild scent and the balm is thicker than others I have tried but absorbed quickly and leaves my skin moisturized with the least irritation of all the brands I have tried.
This is a fantastic product. It has no scent and moisturizes perfectly. I will do a spray of cologne into my palm with the shave balm which scents it with my favorite colognes. I highly recommend. I have spent a long time searching for this type of product and this is by far the best. Very reasonable price, too.
This is fantastic quality aftershave balm. I use all over face. No smell, maybe just a hint. I sometimes will spray some cologne (Creed Millesime Imperial) into palm with this and apply with great effect. This is my new go to after shave balm after looking for years for unscented high quality after shave balms.
Similar to the aftershave, the unscented balm leaves no lingering scent and is great for those that have a cologne rotation or dislike strong shaving scents.
This is an excellent, fragrance free shave balm that calms down any post shave irritation. A little goes a long way, and like all Stirling products I have used, it is economical and delivers what it promises.
I have been using this balm 2 weeks. I can feel it on my face hours later.
Better quality and cheaper than anything else on the market
My thyroid is not working right and I was looking for an aftershave without a fragrance to minimize endocrine disruptors. This aftershave has no scent and my skin seems to love it.
I was expecting a light absorbing balm but it actually really doesn’t absorb. Even a tiny pea size amount spread over the face leaves it greasy feeling for too long. I would grab some witch hazel and aloe samples and try that instead. Might be better but I dont know if it is a splash or gel or somewhere in between. Worth a try for 3$ samples.
I have sensitive skin and this helps soften it when I am done shaving. You only need a little bit and it works really well. My skin feels so soft after using it. 10/10 A definite must have.
This product along with all of Stirling's Unscented products are just that, "Unscented"!!! I am HYPER- SENSITIVE" to any scented health & beauty product, that is used on my face. The slightest scent will make me sick.
I do not have to worry when using any of Stirling's Unscented products. I also want to mention how great the product is in moisturizing my face after shaving, without leaving a sticky or greasy residue behind!
Great product and no scent. It feels great on the skin. I did buy it a couple of months ago where there was a scent. Maybe the Witch Hazel. The first aftershave I bought did feel great on the skin and all the other unscented products I bought also felt great and was with no scents. So I wanted to give it a try again. This time around it was without a scent. So I do feel a little bad having written the first review. Stirling do make good products!
Goes on easy and no scent.
Bought this aftershave with samples of the unscented soaps also. The soaps do have some smell of what ingredients are put in, like all other soaps do.
And this aftershave is probably not fragranced, but it does have a smell/scent. I would not call this aftershave unscented.
I did try it on and it does feel great on the skin, but the smell/scent is kinda strong. It is too much.
I am going for unscented soaps and aftershaves because of my pregnant girlfriend, she cant stand the smell. I have also have little boy and I am not happy exposing him to fragrances and smells.
Also I am not happy for the scent either.
I will buy the soaps again, but not this aftershave.
This is fantastic balm. Having many scents of shave soap and not all having balms, the unscented comes in so handy. very moisturizing, and not at all greasy. Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth all day long. Love this balm!!
I finally found good and affordable unscented after shave balm. The company does not lie--a little bit will go a long way.
You gaibed a new repeat customer.
This seems strange to me but I am allergic to this product but I have used Nivea shave balm, Proraso shave balm ,Pacific shave balm, Cremo Heritage shave balm With no allergic reactions whatsoever.
What a fantastic product. I apply this balm after a splash (I use Proraso splash) and between the two, I am hydrated all day, including the cold winter days (well, cold for SoCal). I also used this product as a face lotion on days I did not shave and did this daily for the past two months... What an amazing product. My skin looks so healthy and I have been receiving many compliments. I have not used any other facial products and my skin. I do have sensitive skin and I have also been peppering in the Haverford, Sharp Dressed Man and Deton-8 and those have also given me the same results. A perfect "All in One" balm/lotion!
The balm is wonderfully light, yet very hydrating. My skin feels dry after I shave, but once I apply the balm my skin feels good an hydrated all day long. The bottle it comes in makes it great for travel as well. It doesn't have much of a scent, but it smells clean, which is what I like most about it. I really enjoy Stirling Soap's unscented products for this reason. I'm not trying to smell like 4 different things at once, I just want to smell clean. The low number of ingredients in the unscented product line is also great for if you have sensitive skin or are allergic to certain ingredients. It makes me enjoy shaving!
A+
This was part of my first purchase from Stirling Soap Co. after seeing one of the wet shavers I follow on youtube mention it. I was looking for something to hydrate my skin after shaving since it tends to get dry and irritated - doesn't help you live in a freakin' desert. The reviews were all positive and I was convinced. Ordered it, received it, shaved, then used it.
Bro, this kept my skin soft and supple for 2 days. It doesn't really smell like anything unless you stick your nose into it right after squeezing a bit onto your palm. It goes on easy and doesn't really get greasy. My face felt so nice I kept smacking it lightly in amazement. Now I'm hooked and wondering if I can use it as a body lotion but then I saw the body butter line...
Anyway, I definitely recommend this. It's great if you like to have other scents or use colognes as this won't cover it or introduce a new scent and make you smell weird. The only possible con I can think of was that after not using it for a few days, it started separating a bit. After shaking the container, it was fine. Nowhere near as gross as ketchup water lol.
I have tried a lot of post shave products to help my face recover. Many are watery, greasy, and generally not something I enjoy putting on my face. This one is none of those and leaves my face feeling smooth and easily washes off my hands. And no fragrance means it goes with everything. Yet another must have Stirling product for me.
I thought I was a big fan of Nivea aftershave balm, and I still think it’s great, but this is better!
I always use an alum block after my shave, and that leaves my skin begging for a balm.
I found myself using large amounts of Nivea in order to get my smoothness back. Not so with Sterling’s balm! I put what I thought was a little bit of this balm on my fingers and I quickly realized that I had twice as much as I needed. It soaks in quickly and leaves your skin very smooth. Just the right touch to end a great shave!
This is exactly what I wanted, something without alcohol that made my face feel even better after a good shave, or helped soothe an irritated face if things didn't go well during the shave. No more looking for a "manly" moisturizer, which often leave me feeling greasy. This balm does just what I needed a post shave product to do.
A little goes a long way, especially during warmer months, but in winter/drier months, I anticipate my face feeling refreshed and using a bit more.
I will definitely keep this in my shave kit at all times!
