Highly effective unrefined moisturizer that customers say is "incredibly moisturizing" with "a little goes a long way." Praised for treating dry, cracked skin, psoriasis, and protecting against harsh winters. Features a natural woodsy/smoky scent that fades quickly. Melts easily in hands, absorbs well without excessive greasiness. Excellent value at the price point.

This Unrefined Shea Butter is great! I rub some between my palms, then lightly press around my face for that extra moisture. After washing my hands at work, first a little hand lotion, layered with a little Shea. This helps immensely to control dryness.
I love its very moisturizing and smooth. I have very dry skin in the winter time and this helps alot.
I use it on my face before bed. It's excellent.
This is incredibly moisturizing and a little goes a long way. When I opened it for the first time, it had a woodsy type of smell and once I had put it on my skin, the scent became even more minimal. Highly recommend it. Definitely will be coming back.
This stuff goes on great. Highly recommend.
Great for dry skin and does a very good job of protecting your hands especially in Wisconsin winters
Just skimming a small amount on my finger and adding a little water helped me use less of the shea butter over a larger amount of skin.
I think it works well for relieving dry skin while not being overly sticky or irritating like some other creams I've used.
The scent is pretty faint for me, I was expecting a more overpowering fragrance but it's quite relaxed which i enjoyed.
I love Stirling products. I noticed they use a lot of shea butter in their soaps, balms, and lotions. After googling "raw shea butter" I can see why. I like their heel and palm balm but the camphor is too strong. It would be nice if they offered raw unrefined shea with some of their great fragrances added.
I've used a few different products that contain shea butter, but I never knew just how good it was until I got my hands on an unrefined jar of it from Stirling. The moisturizing qualities of it are amazing, and as an added bonus, it left the tattoo sleeves on my arm and leg looking just as new as the day my artist put them on my skin.
Excellent Shea butter, smooth and melts easily in your hands. Has light smoky nutty scent that I enjoy but may not be for everyone. This has been a God send for me, working in a hospital setting the constant hand washing had my hands overly dry and cracked and using vaseline or hand creams wasn’t working but after using the Shea butter my hands started returning to normal almost immediately and after a few days my hands were smooth and supple again. I was starting to get self conscious of them. LOL Thank you Rod and Mandy for your effective and quality products!
I just received this today and find it to be great for my dry, sensitive skin. Highly recommended!
So I was curious to try this out based on the product description and the reviews. The smell is unique, not bad or good to me, just a little different than these store bought lotion fragrance style Shea Butter products.
You can tell right away this is the real deal. A very generous amount that will last forever in this 4oz tub. I took a small amount out and rubbed it in my hands and worked it into the skin on the outside of my starting to dry up hands. Covered nicely and lasted quite a while too.
I do maintenance work inside and outside in the cold. I wash my hands often with strong degreaser soaps all day. I bought this to help with the cracked skin that I always get in these rough Midwest winters and I can already tell this will be very effective in my needs. This tub is going directly in my work locker!
I feel bad after basically saying all the coffee I order from them sucked (I was more eloquent in the review)
Anyway I bought a tub of this for my mom who had dry skin out here in Cali. she loved it and all her friend did also. so on the next order each woman wanted a can and my mother a spare. Guess I am the "SHEA DEALER" in my area lol.
warm up to a thick oil that small of a campfire to me??? very light but its there, odd I know right....anyway a mature woman will love this or a middle aged paranoid one losing her looks, either way good stuff!!!
Wow! This is the first product I've bought that actually helped my dry, cracked skin. I can't believe I have soft hands now!
The scent fades as your skin absorbs the shea butter. I started getting results pretty quickly.
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this. It was cheap and it seemed like a good alternative to a shave balm. It definitely is.
When I opened the jar, it smells like straight up campfire. It's woody and smoky which I was very surprised. Upon application, the smell goes away pretty quick.
Now the actual content is solid. When I scoop up the shea butter, it's a bit grainy. I use a small amount and rub it between my fingers and it becomes like oil. Then I apply it to my face and it feels great. It does leave a fatty-like film, similar to vaseline, but it goes away after 20 minutes or so, leaving the face well moisturized and perfect for the day.
I've used this for 2 weeks or so and I haven't had any skin/acne issues. Give this a try and it might replace your shave balm.
If you have a dry patch of skin, this stuff really softens it. I think it really helps soften your skin and it doesn't have a strong scent.
Great product at a great price.
I have used a product of Stirling's that I didn't like.
I use Shea butter to make natural hair and skin products. This shea butter is the lowest price I could find for the size and quality, and it is great! I used it in a hair cream and it has done a lot to help my hair get soft and hydrated.
I have psoriasis and it can be painful. I can't tell you how much money I have spent on expensive creams and lotions to help moisturize my cracked skin. When I saw Stirling had unrefined shea butter I decided to give it a shot. This stuff is amazing, 4 bucks a tub? How can you beat that? I apply it twice a day and it really has helped a lot. The moisturizing properties are top notch .No more $40 lotions for me.
I'd long heard that unrefined shea butter is an awesome moisturizer, but I'd never tried it myself. When placing a recent skin care order, I noticed that Stirling offered a 100ml tub for just $4.00, so I snagged one for the lulz more than anything. I'm pleased to announce that the previous reports were correct; this stuff is indeed awesome! I will say, though, it does have a natural odor that is not altogether pleasant. Fortunately, it is easy masked, post-shave, with a few drops of a scented, aftershave splash that does not detract from its beautiful mousturizing properties. Likewise, the scent of the soap lathered on top of it drowns out the natural odor as well, and the boost in performance/shave quality, for me, is well worth the minute or so of unpleasantness one most endure while loading the brush.
In the interest of full disclosure, I must say that the initial application of this product does result in a a somewhat greasy feel that may not agree with those for whom a naturally oily complexion is present. However, for myself, one who usually suffers from over-dry skin, this product is great. It does go on somewhat greasy, but after 15-20 minutes it soaks in and leaves my skin feeling soft, supple, and very well moisturized without excessive oiliness. If you, too, suffer from very dry skin, I can't recommend it enough as a pre/post shave product.
This natural butter moisturizes my hands and face nicely, and provides a protective barrier against winter's cold and dry air.
I have bought plenty of "raw shea butter" off ebay and other places.
There is a whole world of fake shea butter, highly over priced shea butter and even butters that are not from shea nuts at all... but a similar African tree.
When I saw that these guys carried some... I figured "its a shave soap company... they are all about the natural products, and use shea butter in their soaps, so this must be legit?"
Mine arrived in a nicely decorated plastic tub instead of the metal tin in the picture, its nice. Oh and the butter... it is VERY different from what I have bought in the passed and the price was very good. Its much denser and seems to work... has a cleaner smell too. I am very happy with this product!
I ordered this as a replacement for my significant others cocoa butter lip balm sticks. No weird smells, smooth and very moisturizing. She says her lips have never been as soft as now, and I'd have to agree :-) Another great product from Stirling. I don't know why this hasn't been reviewed before. It's great all around and I have been using it personally for dry skin. I load this into empty lip balm sticks for easy transport.
