Very interesting brush. On a quick glance it feels and looks almost like badger hair. Makes an amazing lather and holds water really well! The Stirling tuxedo synth and little brudder are the brushes I use regularly out of all of my other brushes but now this one I use along with them. Just a fantastic brush with a good amount of backbone and softness. Handle is nice and heavy and fits great in my hand. If you are a synthetic brush fanatic like me then you need to add one of these to your collection!

I'm not a fan of dense knots, always been a face painter and enjoyed brushes with good flow through to bowl lather. "The Replicant" is a pleasure to use. The bristle tips are softer than a kittens belly fur. feels great on the face. Caught myself working the lather on my face more with this brush. Even on all 3 passes! Get ya one and I don't think you will be disappointed!

This is a great brush. Creates a really thick lather with little effort and the handle height is perfect. Another great Stirling product.

First off When I got my stirling package in the mail, I found a thank you note and free samples, it made my day, not many companies do that and it’s a nice touch, I will definitely be a future customer and stirling makes great brushes too.

I looked at the other synthetic options and they were on sale because they had less wavy hair in them but this one didint. The replicant didint look quite as flashy as the other ones but I still like the ivory color. Anyways the pictures don’t do it justice and this brush is an absolute workhorse I’m happy I ended up with it. The brush seemed a little bigger than I would’ve thought when I got it, but it’s just perfect in the hand, very comfortable handle, a nice dense knot, and splays easily on your face. when I say good backbone don’t underestimate it just because I didint say great, it’s not a floppy brush, it is definitely sturdy. For 19 bucks and your looking at this site for a brush just buy it

This brush bowls me over! I've had more than 20 synths, including the very popular G5, G7, G9, and Muhle STF. The Replica outshines them all. Soft tips, excellent backbone and splay, and great lathering action make this a terrific all around shaving brush. Will it retain heat like a badger? No. But it comes closer to a badger's performance than any other synth I've used. It would easily be a bargain at twice the price.

Rod recommended this brush to me when I told him I was looking for a brush with a soft face feel that wouldn’t mechanically irritate my sensitive skin. He was bang on. This brush kicks butt. It is a lather machine. In honor of the cinematic origins of its name, I would describe the performance of the brush as follows:

The Replicant feels like Rutger Hauer chasing after my facial stubble wearing nothing but his underwear and a maniacal look on his face. Then when the lather is all applied the Replicant sits down, finished but a little sad. And then it says, "I've seen stubble you wouldn't believe. 3 week beard growth on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-clamped Feather blades glitter in the dark near the Rex Amabassador gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like nicks and cuts in rain. Make sure you use light pressure and the correct angle when shaving." And then the brush goes to sleep when I rinse it off.

In short, buy this brush.

My husband loves this brush! He says it has a great feel all around. Its firm with a nice backbone, yet soft enough that it's gentle on his face. Its a perfect size and weight. He says it holds enough water to get a good lather, without it being a big mess.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Lovan, and Team Stirling. The Replicant is a superb shaving brush! Out of the box, the Replicant is aesthetically appealing and comfortable in the hand, with a highly polished handle, no rough edges, and a thick synthetic knot filled with soft tip bristles. I took the Replicant for a test run with Stirling’s own Naked and Smooth Shaving Soap and easily produced enough cushioned lather for a four pass shave. The Replicant could sell for three or four times its current price and still be a very fair value. Highly recommended!

It’s my new favorite brush, simple as that
