Scent Description: The shave soap version of our popular Scots Pine Sheep Soap. Made with mutton tallow and lanolin, it has a calm and pleasing pine scent that is nothing like a pine oil used in cleaning products, as it has a touch of oakmoss to round out the blend. The fatty acid rich mutton tallow combined with the lanolin leave your face nourished and smooth.
Ingredients: Mutton Tallow, Stearic Acid, Distilled Water, Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential Oil, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Milk, Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate
WARNING: DO NOT USE if you are pregnant or have epilepsy due to the oakmoss content.
Sizes:
Shave Jar: 5.8oz
Refill Puck: 4.5oz

Customers praised this shave soap's exceptional lather, slickness, and moisturizing properties. The mutton tallow formula "leaves skin feeling fantastic all day" with outstanding post-shave feel. The pine scent received mixed feedback - most loved the natural, woodsy aroma, though some found it too strong or detected an unwanted tallow smell. Performance was consistently rated excellent.

I was looking for yet another shave soap that didn’t have a heavy cologne or floral scent but instead; something with a bit of nature and forest smell.
This scent hit the mark, isn’t overbearing or leave me feeling like I’m on holiday on a Caribbean island but instead; my happy place in woods.
It lathers great and makes for a smooth and enjoyable shave ex.
👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
I bought the Scots Pine Sheep shave soap, not sure what to expect. Not only is the scent great, the performance of this soap is amazing. It is easily the best soap I have ever shaved with. I will be buying from Stirling again.
great ingredients and great product. Best!
This one's a winner for me. The sheep tallow produces an amazing lather and leaves my skin feeling fantastic all day. The fragrance is also perfect for me in terms of strength and properties -- it's not at all perfum-y
I love Sterling products because they are easy on my skin. No irritation or burn, even with their aftershave. This is such a nice pine scent, kind of smoky, kind of powdery, and good.
I have tried many of the Stirling shave soaps and they are all fantastic! But this is hands down the best shaving soap that I have ever used. I have sensitive skin and still got a little irritation from the other soaps. With this I get a comfortable, smooth shave and absolutely no irritation. Definitely my go to from now on. I like the scent but would love to see this in other fragrances if possible.
The performance is smooth and slick. This was the first sheep soap I have tried. The smell is not totally awful, but it hangs around. The smell of animal fat is still there. It smells like a petting zoo. Again, not saying it's terrible. But that is what it smells like to me and it hangs around a while after. I noticed it an hour after shaving. I don't get the pine smell at all. But no biggie. This is why I am so grateful they sell the sample pucks so I can try them out without investing a ton of money. If all sheep soap is this gamey, I'll stick with the beef tallow.
This is, as usual with Stirling, a great product; it's nourishing, slick, moisturizing, and it has plenty of cushion. At first, I couldn't place the scent profile, but it recalls to me the scent of Terror, a limited release from Barrister and Mann. Of course, the latter had a lot of menthol and the former does not, but the clean, pine-scented complexity is there. Very enjoyable and, of course, this is consistently available.
Another great one from Stirling.
I really enjoyed descent of this shave soup each of the items I bought from this company have been nothing back. Excellent I have nothing but good things to say. I’ve been nothing but awesome people highly recommend this company
Very nice lather, and slickness, but the scent didn’t match my expectation. However, it seldom does, so it must be me. Liked the feel enough to want to try the Electric Sheep soap soon!
Wonderful smell I love this stuff
If you like pine or cedar scented like in the woods or something like that, this is the soap for you guys, and I simply just love it all the sense that I have I really enjoyed them a lot, and it makes shaving a joy and eventually overtime collect some more soaps to add to my collection that Enjoyable to smell each morning when I’m shaving or evening when I get ready for a nice dinner and containers with all the meat on top of it I just have nothing but wonderful things to say and you guys have been nothing but awesome thank you so much
All I can say is simply awesome
It smells so good it’s amazing.
If you love pine sent stock up you guys
This shaving soap is my favorite. It lathers well, is very slick, it leaves my skin soft and hydrated. It also has a fresh mild woodsy pine scent that I enjoy over the Evergreen Forest and Coniferous Stirling Shave Soaps.
I have tried different sheep tallow products and these are without doubt the best. Much better than that well known brand from across the pond.
great smell, lathers nice
This soap has excellent lubricity when shaving im assuming from the sheep tallow base.I know people like scots pine scent but its one of my least forite scents.
By far the slickest shave soap I’ve tried so far and left face feeling feelings extremely moisturised
Excellent shave soap. I especially enjoyed the little sample sliver of "Orange Chill" they threw in as a sort of bonus.
My favorite Stirling soap
Didn't really enjoy this scent. Smells like pure oakmoss to my nose which I'm not really a fan of. The pine was only detectable on the first sniff.
Love it! I use this more often than any other shave soap!
I was hoping to like this scent as I like pine aroma and yes I can definitely identify that in this soap. I also recognize where they were going with this as I can pick out a strong moss scent in it too. However the final combination to me smells like creosote a smell I am reasonably familiar with and not one I would prefer shaving with. I am giving it a three because obviously my interpretation of its scent is not everyone's and its quality is right up there with the rest of their soaps, but I'd happily give this sample away.
I just tried Stirling Soap for the first time this morning, and I HATE it! Like many of you, I've amassed a small fortune of various shave soaps throughout the years. I thought I'd weeded my selection down to the "best" ones...now that I've tried Stirling, all of them are OBSOLETE! Dammit!
In all seriousness, I am blown away by this soap. It's thick, gooey, slick--absolutely amazing in all regards. I wish the tubs were the size of dinner plates, because doing my normal swirling with my brush results in gobs of amazing lather flowing and spilling all over the place. And to top it off, the tallow base leaves your face feeling soft and supple. I am not exaggerating about this stuff--it blows away ANYTHING I've ever tried.
I'm an outdoors person, having grown up in northern Wisconsin. So I ordered this one and the Coniferous. Both smells are delicious and remind me of the woods I've explored my whole life. Thank you Stirling for coming up with the best soap I've ever tried, and for making some scents with us outdoorsmen in mind.
Spoiler alert: I am a HUGE fan of Stirling Products, and I have a number of them in my rotation. I have heard how much different a shave soap made with mutton tallow feels compared to beef tallow, but had never experienced it, so I figured I would order a sample puck with another order and give it a try. It was, hands down, the slickest and most moisturizing shave soap I have used to date. I usually shave every other day using a slant (Razorock German 37) and usually have to make 4 passes on my neck while only 2 passes on my mustache area due to excessive irritation. Using this soap, and a third use Gillette Minora SS, I was able to make a third pass on my mustache area without irritation. Easily my smoothest shave without irritation to date! I wish more of Stirling’s soaps were mutton tallow based because, while their standard line is wonderful, the sheep based apps are a step above!
The scent of Scots Pine Sheep is interesting but wonderful, the best way I can describe the scent it stepping out of your tent in the cascades on a crisp fall morning. The pine is prevalent but there are other evergreen scents that make for a memory invoking experience. My wife said ‘You smell like home’ the first time I used it along with the aftershave. Amazing product and probably a staple in my den in the future!
I ordered this as a sample puck after trying the aftershave splash. I loved the smell of the splash, however it does not come through in the soap as strong. I still give the scent 4/5 stars. As far as the shaving aspect is concerned, this performed far better than the other pucks I have sampled. Very creamy, thick lather which gave me an enjoyable shave. Will consider it in a full sized tub when my sampling of many many soaps is complete. Until then I will always remember this as a winner.
I purchased a sample of this along with samples of two other soaps from other soap makers. Although those other soaps are excellent soaps, I picked this one over the other two. A sample puck of soap from Stirling lasts a good while. This soap made my face feel supple, smooth, and hydrated. I can take or leave the fragrance. It's not bad actually. If I get a other puck, it will be unscented. This is an excellent soap.
Bought it from the EU dealer, in Italy. Always liked piney scent, like Pino Silvestre et similia, but this is just another league: a clean and fresh pine, no traces of chemical.
Slightly citrusy at first, it evolves in a earthy and deeper scent during the lather and the shave.
Slickness and post shave face feel are top notch and the price is, considering import taxes in Italy, absolutely remarkable.
A winner to me, a must in my den.
Keep going with the great work.
