Scent Description: For those who find the scent of plain Sheep Soap to be too plain, we also offer a Scots Pine Sheep Soap (aka Scotch Pine, Pinus Sylvestris). Scots Pine differs from normal pine oil in that it has a pleasing, woodsy aroma that is less obtrusive than oils found in cleaning products.  We also added a touch of oakmoss to round out the blend.

Ingredients: Mutton Tallow, RSPO (Sustainable) Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin, Essential Oil, Sodium Lactate

WARNING: DO NOT USE if you are pregnant or have epilepsy due to the oakmoss content.

Bar Size: 5.5oz

Storage: Please store unopened soaps in a location that is cool, clean, and dry. This will help them last longer. Once a bar is in use, store it in a dish with slats, wire rack, or any soap dish prevents water from pooling underneath the soap. There are no chemical hardeners in the soap, nor are they milled soaps. Leaving them sitting in water will cause them to turn soft and greatly reduce the overall life of the soap.

Customers praised this pine-scented bath soap for its moisturizing properties with mutton tallow and lanolin, leaving skin "soft and hydrated." Most loved the "pleasant pine smell" that's "not overpowering," though some found the scent too strong or surprisingly minty. A few noted weak or faint scent. The soap lathers well and is long-lasting, with exceptional value and quality.

Fresh scent and a great clean feeling

I can’t place exactly what this scent reminds me of, but it’s a wonderful fresh organic smell from nature. A new favorite of mine. Stirling makes great soap, and this one is exemplary.

Good for my skin

First time using a sheep product. Seems like the soap is less drying. The smell seems nice but fainter.

It’s the sheep lineup, what’s not to love? Not overpowering. Kind of “piney” but perfect! The combination of the mutton tallow and the lanolin is perfection. Kind of a natural moisturizer.

Love it for Hands! Pros : Smells like Pine, not Sheep Cons: Smells like Pine, Not Sheep

This is the second scent I tried as hand soap (the first being Pig Trail, also great), and it is every bit as moisturizing.

I love the Sheep soap for the shower, but I knew my family might find it an odd choice for the kitchen. This soap does the trick! I get to use lovely sheep soap everywhere, and no one in my family is any the wiser.

A pleasant pine sceht

This scent has a very pleasant pine smell to it. Noticeable, but not overpowering. I'm not sure what specific benefits the mutton tallow base has, but it's the same high quality that leaves your skin feeling good like every other Stirling soap.

Best soap ever

The sheep soap from Stirling is a game changer. It’s so hydrating I feel like I don’t have to use lotion, my skin has never felt so good. But the plain sheep soap is just a little “sheepy” smelling to me. It smells like animal fat. This takes that out and keeps all the benefits. I wish there was an orange version, for some reason I like citrus in the morning. But this is great.

A good choice

I enjoy this soap a lot. The woodsy pine scent is my favorite, it lathers up well and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. And with all Stirling products it also is a great value, its long lasting, has outstanding quality, at a more than fair price. So far every Stirling product I've bought has exceeded expectations and will buy from again.

Scots Pine Sheep Soap

I like conifer scented soaps, so I had to try this one from Stirling. It did not disappoint! The soap has a very pleasant scotch pine sent, and the sheep tallow adds a degree of moisturizing to it. I will definitely be reordering it.

No try it yet but honestly if this is the pine tar version of this soap I can recommend that add more pine tar .I smell it and it's difficult to find the pine tar here. So 3/5 star I given

Great product! Their mutton tallow is fantastic!

Kinda Minty?

It's a good scent, but I was definitely expecting a more "traditional" pine smell I guess, so it threw me off.

It might be the oakmoss, but there's a very distinct, almost minty smell to it that surprised me.

I ordered Coniferous and this in the same order, and honestly? This smells a lot stronger, and neither is bad per se, but I prefer the Coniferous personally.

Legitimately disgusting. Sorry Stirling :/

Yeah this is one of their worst scents. Nearly made me gag when I smelled it. I'm not even sure how to describe it, but it was gross. Not a scent that should be associated with soap.

They make a quality product and I have repeatedly used them for my soap and shampoo needs.

No Smell at All

Ok, Scot's Pine Sheep and Coniferous DO NOT have any smell or if it does it's very faint. I need to give an honest opinion as I've made 6 purchases so far of different soaps. Apparently these used to be awesome but now they are weak and disappointing.

The new favorite!

Since they changed Coniferous, this is IT. Read the description of Coniferous, then buy this. You won't be disappointed.

A Refreshing Walk through a Pine Forest after a Rain

That's the mental imagery that comes to you when using this excellent soap. I bought this after trying the shave version and let me tell you, it's outstanding. Someone made a disparaging remark about vegans, obviously having never used Dr. Jon's excellent products, but for those who prefer tallow, you can't go wrong with sheep. It lathers so well, producing a rich, creamy, slick effect that leaves the skin feeling energized and refreshed.

The aroma isn't artificial—not Pine-sol by any stretch. It smells much more natural, and although strong at first, dissipates fairly quickly so no need to worry about friends, family, or co-workers thinking you've just come in from a European forest after a long rain shower. I tend to go for earthy, woodsy scents in my shave and bath products, so this is definitely my favorite.

This Will Be My New Go To

I have tried many of the Sterling bath soaps and liked them all. Then I tried this and it made all the others pale in comparison. In my opinion the scent is not too strong and certainly doesn't stick with you to interfere with other products you might use. I loved the lather, it felt so much creamier than the other soaps I have tried. I really love the way this soap feels. My next order will be comprised of this soap (I may try the unscented version as well) exclusively.

Bah Bah, Pine Sheep! (love it!)

I just received a sample of this brilliant bath soap with an order I had placed and what can I say - it's wonderful. I showered with it a few minutes ago and not only did I enjoy the scent, my skin feels so clean and well-moisturized. It smells sort of piney, yes, but in a very GOOD way and when you come out of the shower the scent is pretty well gone but the great skincare remains. Oh yes, Rod's bath soaps are every bit as fantastic as his shaving soaps!

Tallow and lanolin goodness

It has a slightly base odor that isn't the Scots Pine or Oakmoss, but it isn't offensive, and the way this soap makes my skin feel is totally worth it anyway. Instead of dry and itchy, my skin is soft and smooth when I step out of the shower. It's much better than the readily available product at the drug store. 10/10, would buy again.

great soap, yet almost non existent scent

I love the way it feels, just wished it had a bit more scent to it. even during the use, you can barely smell it.

The best!!

I've used many artisan bath soaps, I can say without doubt that Scots Pine Sheep blows everything away!! The lather or suds that this bar soap offers is above and beyond what everyone else is doing.
The scent is awesome. The price is even better. So much better I just ordered another bar. I'd like to tell you not to buy a bar so I can have it all. But that would be mean.

Great soap!

This soap has a wonderful scent. This is the most moisturizing bar soap that I have found. Even much better than mitchell's wool fat bath soap. This soap lathers easily and one bar will last for a really long time.

Fantastic Fragrance

I feel like I am taking a shower in the middle of a refreshing pine forest. Great lather and just a wonderful feeling of clean and smooth skin. It's awesome like every other Stirling Soap I have used. I won't use anything else.

Skin Never Felt So Good

I really like Stirlings sheep tallow and lanolin products. This soap lathers great and cleans very well without drying my skin. Nice pleasing pine scent too. I'll always keep some on hand. I use and recommend the Scots Pine Shave too.
