I specifically got this razor case to avoid my daily paranoia of leaving the razor on my plastic razor and brush stand, so I view the value of this case less for extensive traveling and more so for at-home purposes. Although I will say, I have not found anything wrong with the travel case that would cause concern if you intend to use it outside the house.
Now, as for the case itself, it looks and feel very high quality and I haven't had any signs of wear within the two months I have used it. Before you purchase this case, I would advise you to look up the specific dimensions of your razor just to make sure it can fit because I made the mistake thinking the case was a lot bigger than I thought. The case itself is around the size of a paperback novel or an average letter, so it will likely fit your own hand. If you have a three piece razor, however, you can separate the handle from the guard and use the small razor blade stash for both your razor and blades. For reference, I can keep my Parker 91R and three razor blades inside the case without bending the blades that much, and the stiff pockets became less of a problem for me after a couple weeks.
