I bought 3 of these to try out with the shave soap samples I ordered. They work very well and I found if you are careful with the labels on the samples they peel off and you can put them on the dish to know which soap is which. I plan on ordering a few more so I can have multiple shave soaps open to choose from.

This is a great jar to store your refill pucks in or to use as a travel shaving jar.

It’s a jar. It does what jars are supposed to do. It’s slightly bigger than the soap pucks, so the pucks kinda slide around a tiny bit on the first use, but they don’t move at all after that.

I have several of these green tubs and a couple of white ones too, labeled with the various sample shave soaps that I’ve purchased in the past. I label them by carefully removing the label from the sample and sticking it to the top of the tub or if the label rips, by using one of the .40 cent labels that can be purchased from Stirling Soap. This current green tub has just been filled with a Haverford sample that I purchased about 8 months ago in March, before the Haverford scent became unavailable due to a fragrance company's new business model that stopped supplying to Stirling Soap because Stirling wasn’t ‘big’ enough to bother with? I guess they’re free to do what they want but I’d like to know the name of this fragrance company so I can be free to stop buying their products. Haverford is one of my favorite scents! At least I still have the sample shave soap, the balm and two de toilette samples so theres that. In retrospect, I should have purchased the full tub of Haverford when I had the chance and would have, had my crystal ball been in operation back in March. These green tubs do work great to hold the samples. I unpackage them, place them in the tub, then press down on the edges of the sample so it spreads to the edges of the tub. I bloom them while taking a shower, then load my brush and usually go to the bowl, create a luxurious lather and proceed to get my shave on. Or sometimes I’ll go directly to the face for a face lather, depending on my mood. I even pushed one of the samples, Coniferous, into a push-up shave stick to use when I’m traveling or when I’m in a shave stick mood, but my regular modus operandi is to bowl lather. Excellent value. I got this to store and maybe even try any shave soap samples that I buy to see if I like it or not. The jar is well made and I definitely recommend getting it.

Really like the green containers, they make it easy to identify my Stirling soaps.

I purchased these for the shave soap samples. The first time (a while back), when I ordered a shave soap sample, I just used my regular lathering bowl. I found that to be more of a hassle because I couldn't switch as easily to a different soap the next shave. Having these extra containers for lathering is really helpful.

I love that Stirling doesn't ship every soap in a tub by default. Reuse your tubs, and if you are in need of an extra, here you go. I wish other soap makers would get on board with this.
