Some soap scent take my mind to another place and time and such is so with Coniferous. This is such a complex scent ... not just a Christmas tree but it smells like wet Moss and Earth and Evergreen Trees all at the same time. You are shaving but you mind is in the woods with a chain saw cutting the winter wood. Coniferous is a scent that stays in your head and makes you want to shave with it over and over just to be transported. This is a favorite for me now.

Started many years ago with Stirling with this scent. Even though now I have dozens of other ones as well. Coniferous will always be in my den. It is a MUST

Reminds me of the pines of my youth. A winter / fall soap for me. Lathers well and the scent lasts. Used with the shave tins.

I opened the package and immediately I was transported to the a lush green forest. I dipped my Stirling synthetic shave brush in warm water and whipped up a luxurious thick lather. I did more passes with my DE than was necessary just to bask in the richness of the lather and scent. Go get some

I have been looking to replace expensive imports and Stirling does the job. I love this scent and have tried half a dozen or so other scents. All of them just do not linger; they are there while you shave and then gone. I cannot understand reviews about lingering scents. Nevertheless, the lather is rich, slippery, and does its job.

While not a fan of shave soaps this makes a wonderful lather in the bowl and the aroma is light but pine.

I've been using Stirling Aftershave Balms for a few years and they are all wonderful Coniferous is my favorite scent, so I decided to try their shave soap. Same amazing scent, great lather.

I like things like Mitchels Wool Fat, but I think having a Stirling in rotation is probably going to become normal for me now. Coniferous really is a special, natural, manly scent. Check it out.

I really like this soap it has a neat smell to it not sure what to call it but it smells fantastic

The scent is spot on with the description, and its a very realistic smell. Its on the subtle side and for me is a very relaxing shave soap. It also won't clash with whatever splash you choose to use. Amazing

Stirling has some great products, but this isn’t one of them. The soap smelled of sawdust cleaned from a dirty chainsaw. Something stale about it. I’d hoped for a nice pine tar dominated scent. Otherwise it lathers nicely and the base soap is of the usual high quality.

If you like being outside,in the woods and away from the noise of this crazy world..then fellas,this is for you.

I was unsure on this one,but so happy I pulled the trigger and got it. Great anytime of year and if you enjoy the woods then fellas..this will take you there. Not overkill,but definitely manly. I enjoy the heck out of this one.

Soap works great, just like always. Scent is a light pine, cedar, woodsy play on a “pine” forest. My only wish is that the scent would linger longer post shave. Don’t miss this scent for the Holiday Season.

The soap shaves like all other Stirling soaps. Top notch slickness, cushion, and post shave feel! The scent smells like fresh cut firewood! Absolutely incredible! Mossy, earthy, and a great mix of pine, fir, and cedar! Smells like the woodshed!

As for the Coniferous - I ordered a whole puck of it after trying some samples since it was my favorite.

I used to run chainsaw cutting lots of fir, spruce, and pine. This smells just like being covered in coniferous tree sap from cutting wood all day in my opinion-so that’s a win for me!

Everything I get from Stirling for my shaves is GREAT. Hard to pick fav as I'm trying new things as well. BUT, they are my "go to" for shave soap supplies, etc.

This soap provides as smooth a shave as Arko, but leaves my skin smooth and nourished not dry. I have a light beard and often shave every other day, but with this soap my face enjoys daily shaving.

The soap is what it says it is. It is quite strong though and long lasting. Cutting it 50/50 with the unscented might be better for me.

Many of the scent descriptions listed here are funny and or technical. However, this one will make you laugh and smells exactly like the forest beat down described by Stirling Soap. Give it a shot.

This is an excellent shaving soap. It makes a very nice slick lather with a creamy consistency. It also has a very vibrant aromatic scent. The scent is so soothing, after I use it, I feel better, relaxed, and ready for a stressful day. There’s plenty of stressful days in America.
It also has the effect of making your face feel soft, comfortable, and clean. The scent lingers for a few hours after use, but is pleasant and not overwhelming.
This one is a great choice. Try it. You won’t be disappointed (:

During my high school and college days I worked with a landscape and tree service on the weekends. We cut down a lot of huge pine trees around town that had overgrown and become problematic for homeowners. I don't know how Rod and Mandy did it, but Coniferous perfectly emulates that scent of piney sawdust that we were covered in after a long day on the job. It makes me recall the waft of wood and pine in the air as I fed those tree limbs thru the chipper. A hint of smoke reminds me of the chainsaws getting bogged down as they ripped thru the sap filled trunks. Such a unique and amazing scent with a pleasant memory of hard work and good times.

This product smells very good. It smells like I'm standing in front of a pine tree deep in the mountains. I love the mountains. And it's the smell you can smell in the foggy mountains at dawn. Good.

This has become my favorite Stirling scent I've tried (with Scot's Pine being a close second). As some other reviewers have noted, it has a real earthy smell. I grew up and have spent most of my life in northern Wisconsin, and have played in and explored the conifer forests there since I was a kid. So I can tell you with decades of personal experience to back it up that this scent is 100% spot-on for what a conifer forest smells like. There is a distinct smell on the forest floor--a mixture of soil and rotting leaves and fallen needles. This scent duplicates that exactly--I can't even imagine how they could have come up with a smell so indistinguishable from the real thing, especially of such an obscure setting as this, but they nailed it. I would say if you like spending time outdoors in a forest, particularly a northern forest, you will love this scent.

I was very disappointed in this scent. I was expecting a nice pine tree fragrance. Smelled more like burnt, damp wood from a dirty fireplace.
i.ve bought many Stirling soaps that were excellent....but this one was not one of them.

Once upon a time most construction material for houses was pine, not this GMO “white wood”. I bought this in the Shave soap, witch hazel and pre-shave oil. The scent reminds me of the sawdust smell from construction sites in the day and that a really good smell. Very heavy fresh cut pine smell and I absolutely love it! Another comparison, at the end of each hunting season, I put my hunting clothes in a bag with fresh cut pine branches because the land I hunt is lots of white oak and hickory surrounded by pine. The smell is very similar to the hunting gear when first unpacked for the new season.

This was my 8th (full size) Stirling shaving soap. Have tried samples from at least that many others. Not one has disappointed, even slightly, in performance. They make a great product. Excuse me, great products!

This one is a winner too and a spot on product for any man who appreciates the art of turn wood into sawdust or the smell of the woods on a cool fall morning beginning the years first hunt.

I grew up in Colorado, and this scent takes me back to the rocky mountains. Not much cologne here, basically a forest in a tub.
