Scent Description: A blend of Scots Pine, Fir Needle, Texas Cedarwood, and Lichen Essential Oils. This isn’t your typical “woodsy” smell found in shaving and cologne products. This is you taking a stroll through the forest when out of nowhere two trees jump out and pin you to the ground while a third tree sits on top of you and beats the stuffing out of you. Then, once he’s done, he jams some moss up your nose. Caution: May cause excessive Manliness.

NOTE: This is not a pine dominant scent. If you are looking for a heavy pine scent, please check out Scots Pine Sheep.

Ingredients: Aqua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Left Juice, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol & Polysorbate 60 (Emulsifying Wax), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, (Vegetable) Glycerin, Myristyl Myristate (Co-Emulsifier), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Phenoxyethanol & Caprylyl Glycol & Sorbic Acid (Optiphen Plus), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Juniperus Mexicana (Texas Cedarwood) Oil, Allantoin, Abies Sibirica (Fir Needle) Oil, Pinus Sylvestris (Scotch Pine) Oil, Parmelia Periata (Lichen).

NOTE: Due to the ingredient Allantoin, this product may exhibit white specks.  This does not affect the performance of the balm and the white specks are fully absorbed when applied to the skin. Allantoin is an additive that helps heal wounds and stimulates the growth of healthy skin tissue.

A highly-rated post-shave balm praised for its moisturizing properties and forest-inspired scent. Customers said it "smells like fresh cut lumber" and provides excellent hydration without greasiness. Ideal for winter use with no alcohol burn. Some shoppers wished the aroma was stronger or longer-lasting, and a few found the scent unexpected.

A very nice winter balm

A great smelling balm definitely worthy to use during the winter season. Might have to buy another.

Feels good!

Very nice for winter, no alcohol burn. Feels comforting and slippery on my face. Like all of their products, I wish the aroma was stronger and longer-lasting but it is still excellent

Winter Favorite

This scent is unbelievable. The description, as comically as it is, tells the story. I get the moss/mushroom/forest smell. Sometimes, it smells like a lumber yard, which is a different association, but still very pleasent. I was also reminded of an east Texas woods that I haven't been in or thought about since the 80s, but I was suddenly back there. It's really, really well done.

I've tried about a dozen Stirling aftershave balms. They are all great moisturizers, this is my favorite scent, by far. Shopping for my spring/summer favorite now.

Very Nice.

Having first used the Scotts pine shave balm, I decided to take a shot on the coniferous. I find it has the same hydrating and refreshing qualities as the previous however, I wish the scent was just a bit stronger. I have partnered it with the coniferous, shave soap, and shave oil. This is resulted in an excellent shaving experience.

Not sure yet

Not sure I like this post shave balm yet. Doesn't really feel hydrating or soothing after a shave. Kinda just has a nothing effect on my skin. I really want my shave products to transport me to the middle of a pine forest. I want to pretend I'm standing under the big trees with my towel and razer. The coniferous scent on my shave soap just smells like a head shop that burnt way to much incense back in the day and is now permanently stuffy inside. Alternatively the Coniferous Post Shave Balm does have a smell with hints free cut lumber and sweet forest smells, but it's not the sweet rush of pine needles I was hoping for.

Saluti dall'italia !!!!!

Translated: A scent that reminded me when I went on the mountain woods on the Asiago plateau, sublime and strong hint of leaves and damp moss, it seems to plunge into the forest and wild darkness. Real and sincere congratulations to Stirling for this product not eugulizable by anyone! Unique in today's trade and hardly any company will do better! The magic and the scents of the Wood bring it to your bathroom with Stirling! Greetings from Italy !!!!!

Another winner!

This is my favorite of the evergreen scents. It smells just as the description describes it. Shave with the Coniferous shave soap, splash on the after shave and then put this balm on your face. Your face will thank you and you'll smell like a Christmas tree. Doesn't get much better than that, in my opinion.

Another great product

This will soothe your skin and leave it feeling smooth. It is not greasy so once applied you can go about doing whatever you have to. It seems to hydrate whatever skin it comes into contact with including your hands. It also seems to leave a protective barrier on your face which is nice during a cold, harsh winter.

Probably My Favorite

This Balm has the be my favorite out of the 4 I have tried. Stirling Man is a close second. Coniferous has a fresh cut pine scent that is subtle and quite enjoyable. If you have ever cut pine wood, used pine sap (many uses) or made pine needle tea, you will know what I mean about the smell of this balm. It absorbs & moisturizes well and never leaves my face "greasy", just hydrated. If you love the outdoors, you will like this scent. I would also point out that Stirling Gentleman is an amazing scent as well, that reminds me of Dunhill Man or Paco Rabanne 1 Million cologne.

Want to smell like a forest?

First off, this smells like a load of trees. In the best way possible. Mostly cedar, but others in the mix. My girlfriend loves it, and so do I. It's kind of like Gatlinburg but without all the spice. It may be a bit of a darker scent for warm, sunny days, but I don't care. I've been wearing this since I got it. Granted I only picked up a sample of this balm, but I'll be going back for more when the colder seasons hit.

This stuff is slightly thicker than, say, Nivea's Sensitive balm, but it smells so much better and keeps my face just as soft and hydrated. Just make sure to use a tiny amount or you may feel some residual tackiness on your face. This makes a little go a long way.
