Best soap I have ever used!! Smooth while using, and it feels great after.

Kind of a strong scent, but really nice if you're into foresty smells. Pine needles, sap, Christmas trees, definitely try it out if these scents are appealing to you. I definitely enjoyed trying this one out, and would get it again.

This scent smells like a walk in a conifer forest. It really is like what you smell when surrounded by pine, fir, and incense cedar trees. Like visiting the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's one of my favorite scents from Stirling, I also have a big bottle of the beard oil in this scent.

Soap is too soft and the bar seems to have lost all scent after the first use.

The scent takes you to the woods, it cleans very well and leaves your skin feeling great . Another excellent Stirling product.

Strong scent this one. First time using a tallow soap bar. Soap just glided easily. Happy using this bar.

This is the second of 20 or so bars of soap I ordered in various scents I'm trying. The first bar of soap smelled great, this one not so much. The best I can describe it would just be that it's a very "off" smelling pine.

Makes me smell like a pine forest. My second time purchasing this scent in a bar soap.

I use both of these products on a daily basis Well to be honest sometimes I use Barbershop. But no matter which I use it is consistently a great product. Great clean smell and does a really good job cleaning my skin. I started purchasing Stirling last fall and have not used anything else since 5 stars.

Definitely more cedar-heavy than pine-heavy. I seem to be in the minority here, but I prefer this over Scotts Pine Sheep (though neither are outright bad in my opinion).

Only reason it's 4 instead of 5 stars is that the scent is pretty faint.

I want to preface this by saying I love Stirling and most of their products.

This was awful. It has a very strong scent of latex. I just can't bring myself to even try it.

I am currently using this bar. I really want to love it, the smell is right, but it just isn't strong enough. I really want to smell the pine and it just isn't there like I want it to be. Good soap though, I would buy again.

The soap works really great. It smells nice when using it and leaves me feeling very clean after my shower. The scent doesn't quite stick after showering, but my skin still smells clean, so it does its job very well.

The scent though I'd describe as mostly cedarwood. Once lathered and using it I got hints of pine. I was a bit disappointed because I was hoping for a heavy pine and slight wood smell, and the description makes it sound like just that.

If you're looking for a cedarwood soap, this is a great option. If you're looking for a pine scented soap that smells like a pine forest and not a cleaner, evergreen is the soap that you're looking for.

If you are expecting a Christmas tree scent, that isn't this. But it is definitely coniferous. And on top of that they've added a little something that gives it a great manly scent. And it is a soap that lathers easily and moisturizes your skin instead of drying it out. I highly recommend it.

Its a Stirling soap, so of course it lathers and cleans like a champ.

The scent on this one didn't do it for me at all. 100% pungent Scots Pine, zero fir, zero lichen. For me, it was the Scots Pine that jumped me, and then shoved a pine cone up my nose. It needed something to cut the pungent scent a bit, and this bar just didn't have it.

I have to give an honest opinion of this. I'm not sure what happened with Coniferous but there is no smell at all. It's basically just a bar of soap.

I wrote a review in 2014 praising this scent. But it has changed since then. The coniferous smells are gone. What is left is woodsy, leaf mould, and lichen; not a bad smell but NOT "coniferous" any longer. Scots Pine is closer to this official description. Disappointing.

Note: I EXCLUSIVELY use Stirling bath soaps. There is never any other brand of soap in my bathroom.

Coniferous and Texas On Fire used to be my two favorite soaps. Since my last two orders, Coniferous has lost its old POWERFUL fragrance. The description of this soap doesn't even come close to matching the fragrance anymore. Scots Pine Sheep has far surpassed Coniferous in the intensity department. I'm very displeased with the change. Thank goodness that I got some of the aftershave before they diluted it (according to another reviewer up top). I'd better use that splash sparingly...
Please bring the old Coniferous back. Make it TWICE as powerful as before. This is a niche product, so it can be treated as such.

Coniferous has been one of my favorite scents to start using in November and December. However, when I received my bath soap and aftershave splash this year (2018) I was extremely disappointed with the change they made to the scent. It smells AWFUL. The pine notes are practically gone altogether and there are hard to identify fragrant notes that smell like cheap perfume.

Mine is going in the garbage. Ugh.

I simply bought this because I love stuff like this. Got it to go along with my coniferous shave soap. I only wish the scent lasted longer on my skin. I guess the remedy for that will have to be purchasing the aftershave. Oh darn! Great soaps and soft skin.

I used to make soap rendering deer tallow and enjoyed it greatly. But honestly to make the variety that is here on offer would cost a lot. Between fragrance oils or essential oils and the other oils needed for skin conditioning it would be very expensive. Unless you had just a couple of scents you made. Single scents at that. This soap is a bargain. Plus tallow based soap? Even better. Vegans be gone! lol

This is my favorite bath soap. It does not dry my skin out, nor does it leave any type of oily residue or feeling. I leave the shower feeling clean, and with a light scent that makes me think of the Christmas trees of old. Once I started using this, I tossed out the others.

This soap will not dry out your skin. Doesn't leave a film on your skin and smells great.

This scent is a true outdoorsy scent. Its a perfect blend of pine scent and cedar. Its quite literally like a woodsy pine cone scent. This is NOT like a cheap taxi cab pine scent.

This soap is tremendous- the smell is difficult to explain- wet forest- manly but not overpowering- absolutely performance- I have used the same in shave soap- excellent stuff. The bathroom after shave and use of the soap smells different and amazing- people whom have visited me and been in the bathroom have commented the smell- awesome they said- maybe the best product from Stirling?.

Just finished using a bar of the Pig Trail, which was absolutely incredible. I am on my 3rd. shower with Coniferous and it's excellent as well. Great fragrance, lather and I couldn't be happier! Thank you guys for making such a quality product.

Smells like you would if you just marched through the woods and chopped down an evergreen tree and dragged it into your log cabin. Seriously cannot stop smelling this stuff. Stirling has yet to disappoint.

Wow! This stuff is powerful. This is the soap the Army should issue to soldiers who've just completed Ranger School. Paradoxically, despite cleaning strength that is almost weapons-grade, this soap leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth when you're done showering. Highly recommended.
