Fantastic shave soap. If you love or even just like Terre de Hermes edt. You cannot go wrong with this soap and aftershave.
Love this shave soap. It’s in my top 3 summer scents with Arrance Mandarini and Campaigna. I bounce between the 3 and can’t pick wrong.
Great Bay Rum scent.
Love this soap.
I purchased a sample puck to try out. The scent is great and there is excellent slickness. Because of that, I decided to purchase the 5.8 oz. shave jar.
While I didn't try samples of the Aftershave, etc. I went ahead and ordered that, as well as the post shave balm.
Nice scent and good lather. Im happy with it. Im looking forward to trying other scents.
I haven’t used the Arkadia Shave soap as of yet. I have no doubt that it will be excellent as have been all the other shave soaps and products I’ve received from you. I WILL review it when I start to use it.
Thanks,Rick
Very nice fragrance. To me, it's kind of neutral; a bit woodsy but not too heavy. I love the cedar and patchouli, but they don't overdo it.
I just finished shaving with this from a Sample puck that I had purchased. The scent is great and the soap produces a thick, rich lather. I will be adding this to my list of items to purchase.
Excellent performance as always. This is my favorite of the Stirling scents I've tried. I get notes of lemon and gunpowder green tea- there is something in here that's pleasantly vegetal. Crisp but not sweet at all. Strong enough to be noticeable but hardly overpowering. Bravo!
Didn't lather well.
Scent is excellent but would love it to be a bit stronger. Shaving performance is great.
Easy to load with brush and the smell is pretty close to the EDT cologne. Thank you Stirling! I’ll be purchasing again in the future.
Definitely a sleeper. Something different in the “sea of sameness”. Try this one out.
Strong smell which I like with this one, cooling, I use it after Professor pre shave menthol. Very nice summer combination.
Of the 100+ soaps in my den, Arkadia is one of my favorites. All Stirling soaps perform wonderfully, but there's something about the woody scent in this one that seems to call out to me. I have the entire wife-approved Arkadia line and never tire of it. I gave a bottle of the EdT to my brother, who is rather picky about scents, and he loves it too. Highly recommended.
Wonderful product! Wonderful local company. Very pleased with my first order!
I have used several of Stirling shave soaps. This review is for all I have used. The scents are right on, not too heavy but very pleasant. The soap lathers up easily. It feels great and is very slick while protecting your face. I like to buy samples to travel with. They are the perfect size to last a 2 week vacation.
Ok, so growing up my mother owned a Beauty salon. She conversed with a barber often. As a child I remember going to this barbershop with her, and then as a teenager I wanted to be a "man" so I went to the barbershop.
This scent, Arkadia is exactly as I remember him spashing on me after he was all done. Even tho I only had "peach fuzz" he still gave me a wonderful shave with a safety razor. And this smells just like the cream he used as well as his aftershave!
A very refreshing, clean and crisp scent. Takes me away to my childhood days of gone by. Lovely lovely.
A special nod to both Rod and Mandy for this one, good job.
This is what Luke Sky Walker would smell like if he married Princess Leia.
Great scent and performance
I'm honestly a little suprised this soap does not have more reviews and seems to be one of those great scents that kind of flies under the radar.
Masculine but not over the top "look at me", just a great clean scent with notes that all seem to complement each other. Love it so much I have the preshave oil and the aftershave splash. This one has some staying power that lingers nicely in the background for several hours but not so much you feel like you have it following you everywhere. What a combo!
WOW! Wish I would have checked this out sooner! Great fragrance makes an enjoyableshave experience!! Super Stirling lather as always!!!
Wonderful aroma... good lather.. can’t wait to get the bath soap as well..
Just started trying Stirling products and this is one of my favorites so far.. highly recommend
Love this soap, the lather is thick and gets my face clean and a good shave. The scent reminds me of taylor of old bond street sandalwood. This one however is wayyyy less pungent and more palatable. It's sandalwood heavy and I agree with the others that it's kind of the 'old man' smell. But unlike the old man smell, it's not overpowering. It's not my favorite of the scents as I'm not an old man myself, but it's a good scent. E.g. it's great it's just not my thing.
This one is hard to put into words. I really like it yet I can't describe it. I don't get the citrus top notes....I get more of the grassy and woody tones. When people talk about classic "Old Man" smells like Old Spice....which I usually end up hating....this is more what I hope it would be. There is something that is classic, woody, earthy....something that I might think of the generation before me wearing but in the best possible sense. This is what I use when I want to feel some version of a classic scent but still enjoy it. Like I said, hard to describe in words, but I quite enjoy this scent and it is also nicely subtle (compared to Agar which kind of knocks me over). Get it!
Just shaved with a sample puck of Arkadia and just as the Barbershop I have was creamy, slick, hydrating and left my skin very soft post shave.
I get the citrus, cedar and vetiver but can't place the other scents but I like it and will order the shave jar once I have finished the sample puck.
Not sure why I haven't heard more chatter about this Stirling scent, it is very nice and does not overpower. I don't use an after shave splash or cologne but this soap lingers a bit post shave which works for me.
Try a sample puck, I'm sure you will like it!
I'm surprised I don't hear more about this particular scent; It's phenomenal and stays with you throughout the day.
For me, what I enjoy most is what all the other notes are doing to the cedar--particularly the citrus, the geranium, and the black pepper--it's a sophisticated and thoroughly enjoyable blend of fragrances. I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing Terre d'Hermes, but I can certainly see why it would inspire a shave soap
I have a self-imposed limit of three soaps--when I run out of Glastonbury, this one's taking its place!
I absolutely adore this.
First off, soap, as a soap, is excellent. Does everything you want a shaving soap to do, with bells on.
The real winner is the scent. Blind smelling, I couldn't tell you what the notes are. Reading the notes, and smelling again, is a, 'Well, of course, it's got to be... (list notes).'
I'm not sure I'd call it grassy, but evocative is certainly right.
I'm a woman, but I think this is a unique enough scent, I'm not even remotely self-conscious wearing it. It's just... really *nice.* (Possibly in a wearing hubby's favorite shirt sort of way, possibly in a this is a superbly blended collection of scents that'll mix together beautifully on anyone's skin kind of way.)
At least the sample sized puck of this needs to go into your cart, right now!
Add this soap and the shave splash to your cart. You won't regret it. They're absolutely amazing and smell unbelievably fantastic. Arkadia even inspired me to buy a bottle of Terre D'Hermes and it is extremely similar to the cologne in my opinion. This stuff is pure shave gold! If a Versace Eros version ever comes out I'd be the first in line to buy that one too!
I love this fragrance. I go nose blind to it after a few hours unfortunately, but my wife tells me it's still there. I'm not sure which note in the fragrance I like so much, but something just does it for me. I bought the shave tub a week or so ago and I've used it every day since then, barely marring the surface of the soap; I'm sure it will last a very long time. This tub is much larger than what I was expecting, so bonus there.
Performance is great. It loads and lathers well, even with my $10 synthetic brush. The after shave and balm that pair with it are also great. If deodorant and shampoo bars are ever made in this scent, I'll add them. I'll get the lotion next...I just really like this scent!
